Phonetic Spelling

Phonetic Spelling

A common spelling mistake among children and people with dyslexia is to spell words phonetically (e.g. "spel werdz foneticly"). The purpose of this project would be to develop a tool which would take a phonetic spelling and generate a list of properly spelt words which could have been meant. The Werdz program on the IBM AlphaWorks site is an example of such a program. It should be possible to integrate the program as an assistant for any windows programs, possibly providing a drag&drop interface.
