This meter needs to prompt the patient to record an assessment of their pain and store this information for downloading. This would help in research into pain relief after surgery. Pain is a subjective experience and its perception will vary from patient to patient. It is subjective. Pain in humans is difficult to measure. However, it is still important to measure.
